GIG Lawn Care is a recently created business looking to deliver exceptional service through a professional and hardworking approach to lawn care.
Our goal is great looking lawns year-round. For us mowing a lawn isn’t just a job, it’s a passion. We recognise that a great looking lawn can increase your property value, make your property safer, and can help with your physical and mental wellbeing. That’s why our gear is top-of-the-line to produce results that we would expect from others working on our property. Our gear includes a Hyundai push mower, Husqvarna zero turn ride-on, Ryobi line trimmer, Ryobi hedge trimmer and more.

Your Operator
GIG Lawn Care is a solo business run by a Ruakaka local with a passion for beautiful lawns. Hi, I’m Craig.
I’m just shy of 30 years old and a life-long resident of Takahiwai Rd (except for a stint in Dunedin). For as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed helping out with the lawns, though I admit I’m much better at mowing now than when I was a kid!
I launched GIG Lawn Care in early 2023 after hearing the call for additional lawn mowing services coming from residents. One family member mentioned contacting a handful of businesses; two didn’t offer ride-on mowing, two were fully booked and one didn’t even respond! With that in mind I was determined to create with my own business that isn’t tied to any franchise, and with customer satisfaction a top priority.
I was encouraged by family and friends to start the business after they appreciated the effort and hard work I put into their lawns.
My partner Kirsten also encouraged this career shift, and has been a pivotal part of GIG’s launch and growth. She has her own business Beauty on the Move which you should absolutely check out if you’re in need of mobile beauty services!
